One of the best part of Christmas Season is the giving and sharing spirit that goes on. Christmas is important because it reminds us to forgive and to love one another. It is also important because the sharing part is mostly sincere during this season. It's a good feeling to see these things happening all at the same time. You get to see families sharing the joys of Christmas with other families. Even enemies get united and join in the fun of sharing gifts and merry making. What a wonder to behold indeed. I love this time of year!
Of course family is so vital to Christmas. It's a time for us to reunite with our parents and siblings. Yet we must also think about those who lack family and home that need help as well. If I remember it right, at least 13 Million lost their homes this year according to one paper I read.
Now the point I am trying to get at is this: isn't it about time that we think of something other than giving gifts with friends during Christmas time? How about a bonding moment with your family by giving alms or donations to a favorite charitable institution together? Wouldn't that be something special and different?
I am thinking of giving an old car of mine as a donation for a good cause this time. Preferably ones that could help funding student education. Donating a car not only could help others, but it is also a deduction to federal taxes. It is a win-win situation! A variety of services and charities accept car donations, that sounds perfect for me. All I need to do is to research and select a valid charity or other service to donate your car to; otherwise I may not receive a receipt for my donation.
There are a lot of this so called donate car or car donation institutions that are found online. I will be checking this out and I hope you guys who have old unused car will to.
